The Challenge
The client wanted to become more visible to potential customers searching for CCTV and security system services across the areas they serve in the UK. The main challenge was not simply ranking the website for broad CCTV keywords. The website needed a structure that could connect: Service → Location → Search Intent → Potential Customer
The SEO Strategy
The approach focused on building a service and location-based structure that connects what customers are searching for with the services offered in specific areas.
Service Structure
I first mapped the client's complete range of services and organised them into a clearer SEO structure. The objective was to make each service independently discoverable through relevant searches rather than relying on one general CCTV page.
Service + Location Pages
The core strategy was to connect the services with the areas the business serves. Instead of simply creating generic location pages, the structure was built around relevant service + location combinations so potential customers could find the specific service they need in their area.
Search Intent Optimisation
Each page was developed around the intent behind the search, focusing on what potential customers are actually looking for when searching for CCTV and security services.
On-Page SEO
The website was optimised around: Keyword targeting, Service structure, Location relevance, Page titles and metadata, Headings, Internal linking, Search intent, Service-focused content.
Content Strategy
A content strategy was also developed to support the service and location structure. The blog plan covers relevant CCTV, security, location and customer-intent searches, with topics designed to support the commercial pages rather than publishing unrelated content.

Generative AI Visibility
One interesting early signal is that the website has also started receiving visibility through Google's Generative AI features. Google Search Console showing 2.33K impressions from Generative AI features during the available three-month period. This gives the case study another useful proof point: the SEO strategy is not only focused on traditional blue-link rankings but is also beginning to gain visibility in Google's newer search experience.

Current Status
The project is still in its early SEO growth stage. The SEO campaign itself started approximately one month ago, so these figures should be presented as the website's current search performance rather than claiming that the entire three-month dataset was generated by the campaign. The current focus is to continue expanding the service + location structure, optimise existing pages and implement the planned content strategy.
What's Next

Continue expanding the service structure with more service + location combinations.
Location SEO
